First, lemme say this: I don't think their mutual enmity is a work. This ain't the Nature Boy and Macho Man. They and their trainers truly do not like each other.

Second, I don't see any way Canelo wins unless he can pepper Golovkin with a ton of hard, rhythm-disrupting jabs. Jacobs did this but didn't have as much sting...to me, he laid the blueprint on how to potentially defeat Triple G.

All that said, I got GGG by either a decision or a late TKO. He's the natural middleweight and will come in firing heavy artillery because I don't see him at all afraid of Alvarez's power.

Gimme your takes folks. Only thing I know for sure is that I ain't paying 50-60 bucks for it and I probably won't spend all night looking for a feed on my Fire Stick.

I mean... that was totally spoken by a person who did not know they fought once and that GGG actually didn't win lol... I mean... I know I know and I want GGG to win too but you can't say "THE ONLY WAY I SEE SUCH AND SUCH CAN WIN" when Such and Such has already won LOL.

If I can get out I am going to go to Irish 31 at westshore (if they are showing it) with VSM to see this one or I will try to find a streamsmart feed a day in advance.

Holster that Ray gun there, Star Lord...I never gave an absolute, all I said was I did not see a way. Doesn't mean there wasn't one, I just was sticking to conventional wisdom and envisioning Golovkin being a little more aggressive and making the decision in his favor more decisive.

What I did not see-yes, I watched the fight, found a nice foreign feed and fell asleep for a bit after the Lemieux starching of the guy with the Bill the Butcher stache-was Triple G deciding to box, and getting slightly outworked IMO. Thing was damn near a draw again.

Canelo fought like he had more to prove. And actually, I did get one thing right: Alvarez did what Jacobs did, except a little better, and won

You're still my favorite amigo to argue with and if this supposed Floyd-Manny rematch happens I'll bring you some more Hunahpu to consume, plus a couple others from my stash of barrel aged mind detergent.

Both guys are wasting our time for a money grab there. Pac quit Arum and probably realized his pockets are wau lighter after years of getting pillaged and Floyd just bought a small island somewhere and wants to try to get another 100m

Mayweather lives extravagantly and will always want or need more money with which to perpetuate his excesses. Manny always wants to give handouts (sorry, do charitable work) to his people back home and will really want it once this vicious typhoon Mangkhut rolls on by the Philippines. It's a match made in IRS heaven.

I'm sure Floyd sees it as an easy payday. And I'm also sure Manny wants a chance to redeem himself after having to fight the first time with essentially just his left arm. Given that he still won 4 rounds on 2 judges' cards, I'd give him a better than average shot at making the fight way closer.

Maybe Canelo and Golovkin can do a rematch on the undercard. Double up and go for a massive payday for everyone. Why not? Alvarez can pay Lemieux to step aside as mandatory challenger and we get at least one competitive fight.

FWIW: Lemieux looked rocked on Saturday. Weighed in at almost 180 for a middleweight fight though. Not sure how that happens, but that means he's basically a LH (almost a cruiser) fighting at MW. Apparently worked with a different diet/health specialist to get that way.
