Welp...the media really tried to sell us on the idea that Vargas would be a good opponent for the Pac Man, but it didn't happen to say the least. Manny looked almost as good as he ever did in his prime IMO, although the kid couldn't seem to get out of his own way at time.

So is it just a hype dream to imagine a Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch? Was Floyd there at ringside because his daughter would've rather gone to a boxing match instead of see Finding Dory or some s**t like that? Or was he dipping his toe in the water to gauge whether or not it would be worth it for another monster payday?

They both kind of owe us after that first fight turned out to stink like zombie diarrhea, in light of Pacquiao's torn up shoulder. And Mayweather certainly has to know that his last fight w/Berto was unjustifiable in terms of competitiveness.

Oh, and folks...spend $30 on a streaming media player box that turns your TV into an Android tablet. Then download Kodi and search online for tips and tutorials. All the boxing and UFC PPV you could ever want, for veeeeeeery cheap[wink]

1. You couldn't find a winghouse or sports venue that held that fight for the most part
2. He looked good... Yeah Miami Looked good when they were 4-0 too.. (Vargas Sucks)
3. Don't care to see a rematch would match rather see younger up and coming fighters take on Manny since he is still fighting and hope that Floyd stays retired.
4. They owe us nothing... Folk bought into it would be a great fight.. people thought Manny could win... a rematch would be much of the same and Manny will leave his folks mad at him again and they will steal $300m again or whatever the number was
5. Firestick, or Android Box, or Stream smart... + Kodi or several other streamers and you have yourself a free Pay Per View fight and any move show live event you want... I told VSM about this a while ago (if you want one let me know).

I watched the 1st few rounds of the fight on my Android box then got bored...

I think the Press Box down the street from my house had it on, but I wasn't leaving the comfort of my house, not with everyone else gone all day 'til around 8-9 o'clock.

Something tells me they'll fight again because the lure of a cash grab is too strong. Floyd doesn't necessarily need the dough, but one thing I've learned is that rich people like making money more than poor people ever could. Pacquiao does need the money...it's been reported numerous times that he has blown through a lot of dough giving to the people of his country.

Buddy of mine informed me about the new dimensions of the universe that would open up if I got an Android streaming box. He helped me program it a bit. Amazing what you can find with a little work.

Oddly enough, the one who showed me how to find the PPV sports is a UFC-loving TPD officer lol

Rematch would be more of the same. Pac can't put together the output to beat Mayweather anymore and he doesn't have the power. He couldn't finish crap-assed Vargas.

Shame is there are at least a half dozen fights in 147 I'd love to see but no one fighting each other.

Rematch wouldn't necessarily be more of the same...you factor in the inactivity/ring rust and general diminution of skills due to age, and if Pacquiao doesn't tear another rotator cuff then you've got a fight. He took like 3 rounds in the first one while basically doing his Rick Allen impersonation, so all he has to do is double that and at the worst there's a draw that embarrasses Mayweather and his Sam's Club sized ego.

No one's fighting, but it's tough to say how much is due to fighters being timid and how much is promoters engaged in swinging steak...and how much is due to that whole Haymon PBC thing turning out to be a big wet smelly fart after all. And that bill that passed in New York has basically driven a stake into boxing there...not being able to pack Barclays is just a killer in a town that still loves its sweet science.

I need a boxing break right now after watching that Ortiz dude chase the other tomato can for 12 rounds. That wore me out. Gotta get my head together for Kovalev-Ward.

Pacquiao didn't tear a rotator cuff the first time. He got his broke butt whipped and couldn't catch up to a guy that's way too fast and skilled for him.

Ring rust doesn't bother a guy like Mayweather because he's always training and always in shape. He's not spending 10 months a year being a neophyte Senator wishing death on gays and other silliness.

Actually it might be worst the second time around. Pacquiao doesn't have one-punch power and can't generate the output he could when he was good.

But it's not going to happen because I have this odd feeling we'll be entertaining an equally stupid fight between Mayweather and the Notre Dame mascot from UFC because there's a lot lot lot more money in it if it happens (which it won't) and it would be an even easier fight.

Agree with VSM... Without this KO power Pacquio doesn't stand a chance not just with Mayweather but any defensive fighter who is young fast and won't sit in front of you to hit him... He doesn't have the same output anymore...  Marduk you need to watch the guy again this is not the same fighter you were praising 5 6 years ago... He has gotten old.

Like it or not boxing is based on a point system so a great defensive fighter usually always wins against a brawler puncher... If it wasn't based on points it would be 2 guys unlimited rounds until 1 goes down and a whole generation of folks with brain damage or CTE.

Cool, go play on Hudl and let the grown ups talk boxing.

Maybe one day they will call that play you're been working on.

"Floyd's not ready for this.

Much respect to Floyd. He's a solid businessman on what he's been able to do ... he's a f--king animal at what he's been able to do. But as far as real fighting ... as far as true pure unarmed combat ... Floyd don't want none of this.

He wants a boxing match, he doesn't want a fight.

I want a $100 million cash to fight him under boxing rules ... he's afraid of a real fight."

Actually he could probably net $100 million to box Floyd. Floyd would probably net about $300 million.

And a lot of morons would think that Lucky Charms could beat Floyd in a boxing match and that would be hilarious to watch. Sign me up.
