No one is beating Spence any time soon. Period, full stop, next paragraph, new subject.
At least not for the foreseeable future. Thurman would need at a minimum THREE tuneups to be ready, but by that time he'd be like 51 years old at this pace. And even then he still wouldn't be able to match the speed and power. Crawford? Maybe...but not right away. Still not a natural fighter at that weight. Beating Horn is miles away from being able to hang with Spence, who is freakishly powerful and quick. Not saying this because he blew out such an inferior opponent Saturday. I've seen enough of him to know that the only thing standing in his way is perhaps himself, if not dingdong promotional entities. Personally, I'd like to see him say you know what, I'm not gonna bother with welterweights, let's ease on down the road and clean out the middles and junior middles. At least maybe the Charlo brothers could put up a fight. Not even gonna include Golovkin and Alvarez in this until their fight is over, and heaven help us if it's close either way bc then there's the rubber match.
